DIGA NÃO À PEC 37 - SAY NO TO PEC 37

O Plenário da Câmara Federal deve votar em breve a Proposta de Emenda à Constituição nº 37. O projeto, conhecido como PEC da Impunidade, pretende tirar o poder de investigação criminal dos Ministérios Públicos Estaduais e Federal, modificando a Constituição Brasileira. Na prática, se aprovada, a emenda praticamente inviabilizará investigações contra o crime organizado, desvio de verbas, corrupção, abusos cometidos por agentes do Estado e violações de direitos humanos.

Os grandes escândalos sempre foram investigados e denunciados pelo Ministério Público, que atua em defesa da cidadania de forma independente. A PEC 37 atenta contra o regime democrático, a cidadania e o Estado de Direito e pode impedir também que outros órgãos realizem investigações, como a Receita Federal, a COAF (Conselho de Controle de Atividades Financeiras), o TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União), as CPIs (Comissões Parlamentares de Inquérito), entre outros.

Em todo o mundo, apenas três países vedam a investigação do MP: Quênia, Indonésia e Uganda.

The Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies should vote soon the Proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 37. The project, known as PEC of Impunity, wants to take the power of criminal investigation of State and Federal prosecutors, modifying the Brazilian Constitution. In practice, if passed, the amendment substantially disrupting investigations against organized crime, embezzlement, corruption, abuses committed by state agents and human rights violations.

Major scandals have always been investigated and reported by the public prosecutor, who acts in defense of citizenship independently. The PEC 37 attempts against the democratic regime, citizenship and the rule of law and can also prevent other agencies conduct investigations, such as the IRS, the COAF (Council for Financial Activities Control), TCU (Court of Audit) the CPI (Parliamentary Commissions of Inquiry), among others.

Worldwide, only three countries prohibit the investigation of MP: Kenya, Uganda and Indonesia.
